Answer 1 :
It depends on how financially astute you are and whether you can deal with your tax affiars yourself. You might find the services of a financial advisor more appropriate if you ned help with investments.
Answer 2 :
You only require an accountant if you need someone to do a Tax Return for you. Otherwise I would suggest a financial adviser, but a good one who has qualifications, not any Tom, Dick, or Harry who fancies the title. You have to be careful, virtually anyone can set up as an adviser. Also, whereas accountants are likely to charge by the hour, financial advisers get paid for the products they sell you, and their advice is not always in your best interests in the case of the cowboys.
Answer 3 :
Size is immaterial to needing an accountant. The work is the same for $10,000,000 as $10.

Answer 1 :
Since you have your degree in English, you can go straight into Uni again, and do a PGCE in Mathematics. Some universities may want you to have some kind of voluntary work in a secondary school teaching Mathematics, if you go onto the UCAS site and search for the course, you can see the universities' requirements. You have missed the deadline to begin in September though. http://www.gold.ac.uk/pgce/secondary-mathematics/

Answer 1 :
Much depends on how far you want to progress. It took me two years at night school to learn basic and then advanced accountancy. Then a further two years working in an accounts office to gain experience. But all i wanted was enough experience to start out in my own business. There are so many different subjects in this study that it can take many years and cost a fortune.
