Can i open an esaver santander account and keep my barclays current account?
I am really clueless about how banking stuff works so I was just wondering whether i can open a savings account with santander (called an esaver account) and still keep my current account with barclays?

You can have as many bank accounts as you wish. It's just that the banks each have their own criteria for accepting you as account holder. There's no law stopping you from having multiple accounts, used lawfully.

Yes. You would only come into difficulty if you were applying for another bank that was part of the same banking institution, for example if you had an alliance & Leicester account and were looking to open up with Santander (as they both fall under the same financial umbrella)
