How long inactive before a YA account is deleted?

How long inactive before a YA account is deleted?
How long without logging in is a yahoo answers account deleted? I have not logged in for 5 months?
Yahoo! Answers - 3 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
4 months. It's basically 128 days I believe
Answer 2 :
Bear in mind that while the YA account (and profile page) are deleted - the questions and answers posted by them are NOT. And it USED to be 4 months, but this may have changed. Yahoo has changed some other time limits regarding email accounts, and that change may have affected this as well.
Answer 3 :
Well, this is a new account, and your old one may still be active if you are still logging into other Yahoo, services. I never have to login to Y!A as I normally just click on the link from other Yahoo services.

What is the main reason why accounts get suspended?

What is the main reason why accounts get suspended?
I have never had my account suspended. However, are there any other Y!A users who have had it happen to them, and if so, why?
Yahoo! Answers - 5 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
they violate copyright issues
Answer 2 :
I think a small group are users who are abusing the system by posting spam deliberately, are reported and are deleted because we the users report them. The majority are regular users who just will not understand the rules and continually post questions and answers that are violations. The other small group are those who have finally reached Yahoos patience over a period of time and are suspended. You and I both know that suspension actually means 'deletion', unfortunately others don't accept that, and are also unaware if they really tick Yahoo off, Yahoo will delete their entire Yahoo account, and will one morning wake up to find that to Yahoo they no longer exist.
Answer 3 :
the system will provent the sensitive words, spam or some advertisement,,,,
Answer 4 :
My original YA account was suspended for referring someone to a torrents download site, something considered illegal. There are more than one there are several. This pretty much covers it. Yahoo doesn't seem to play favorites, it doesn't matter if you have been a member for day, a week,a month or years or are a top contributor the same rules apply to everyone. It also doesn't seem to matter the number of violations but more the severity or perceived severity of the violations. Yahoo takes a dim view of SPAM, bigotry, pornography , being underage 13, insulting other members, racism, anything that even borders on illegal such as drugs even soft drugs, downloading movies, music programs etc. or links to that kind of stuff Any of that can mean a speedy exit. If you have more than one YA account and they are used for cheating which is often the case it is a serious violation and all your Yahoo accounts could be suspended http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers/abuse/abuse-249517.html;_ylt=Ag1MyvoNQNX_1ok8kgYC2rBujSN4
Answer 5 :
The Yahoo statement is that one or more trusted reporters must report a question or answer for it to be deleted. You can appeal and if the appeal is upheld the reporter loses some credibility. It takes a number of violations to get someone suspended, the exact number would vary dependant on the severity of the violations.

It will do that. If you're going to use two seperate accounts at the same time, I suggest you use two seperate browsers for each one.

Just use two different browsers. Do one Firefox and one Chrome. Just use which one that has a YouTube account that you need.

Answer 2 :
As you paid using PayPal it will be credited to your Credit Card Account, not your bank account.

As long as your paypal is connected to a checking account, you should be able to transfer funds from paypal. Hit the withdraw tab and then hit transfer to bank acount.
Answer 5 :
It takes something like 5 working days.
Answer 6 :
log into your paypal account, click on transfer money.transfer to bank.easy.
Answer 7 :
If you have linked your paypal and ebay accounts all you have to do is go into your paypal account and click the 'withdraw' button... its pretty easy to work out from there. If you havn't linked the two then you will not be able to move the money across until you do so. Hope this helps :)

how do i transfer a direct debit to another account?

how do i transfer a direct debit to another account?
I have 2 accounts with hsbc and wanted to change a direct debit that comes out of one, to come out of the other account. Who do i have to notify? The company that takes the direct debit out or hsbc, or both? Sorry, little clueless about these things!
Personal Finance - 6 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
The Company who takes the money. And cancel the original DD with your bank yourself so no more monies can be taken out of that account. If you have on-line Banking, you should be able to do it all yourself.
Answer 2 :
Get an DD/order transfer form from the bank you wish to move to. They will send it to the other bank and organise the transfer and arrange notification of the companies.
Answer 3 :
If you were to open a new account with a different bank there are rules which make the banks cooperate to transfer the DD. All you need to do is tell the new bank about your old account and they take care of it for you. Because you have 2 existing accounts with the same bank these rules don't apply, but there is no reason why HSBC should not transfer it for you if you ask them. Alternatively, so can ask the company that takes the direct debit and give them the new details. So in answer to your question, you can ask the bank or the company. But don't ask both because they have different systems and you might confuse them or end up with 2 DDs or some other extra hassle.
Answer 4 :
The company that takes the direct debit out.
Answer 5 :
Are you in the UK? If so, contact HSBC. There is a Direct debit transfer process which they will deal with. You may not even have to contact the direct debit originators. It does take a few days for the change to happen however.
Answer 6 :
Contact the company that takes the direct debit. I believe there is no need to contact HSBC, Strings in your hand. Please make inform company & give enough time to change over.

How do I protect my IRA accounts from stock brokerages because of this wall street crisis?

How do I protect my IRA accounts from stock brokerages because of this wall street crisis?
Is it safer to transfer them to savings bank or credit union, where money is FDIC insured?
Investing - 4 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
That's safe but it's the least profitable play. I believe the market is near the bottom. It's always gloom and doom at the bottom. This is when you can make your money.
Answer 2 :
Were you happy with the way your IRA accounts were invested? Was the growth to your liking? Now, you hit a bump in the road and you want to jump off the truck? If you are not of retirement age just buy more for each increment you put into the IRAs. If you are about to retire don't panic. Just buy more for your contribution. There has to be faith in the system. Do you think credit unions will do better ? Forget savings banks unless you are happy with 1/2 of 1 % return.
Answer 3 :
You need to read & learn about investing........ you'll do great damage to your financial health if you move your funds without understanding how to manage them. Start with the basics.. "asset allocation". F.D.I.C. insurance doesn't cover you for the loss of buying power over decades. Stocks historically do.

How and why do accounts get suspended?

How and why do accounts get suspended?
I see a lot of users complaining about how easily accounts get suspended and a few users claiming they have gone through multiple accounts. I'm just wondering, is it really that easy to get suspended? What type of behaviour gets a user suspended? Is a suspension actually checked out by staff or is all done automatically e.g 'x amount of violations suspends account'. Thanks.
Yahoo! Answers - 6 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
or is all done automatically e.g 'x amount of violations suspends account'
Answer 2 :
because someone reports something you say and if its bad enough the people from yahoo kick you off
Answer 3 :
They violate the rules
Answer 4 :
Most accounts that are suspended are actually deletions. Most users are unfamiliar and can't understand what makes a violation and continually make the same mistakes. If they fail to learn then for them it is easily to keep getting deleted. Those are the less serious ways to loose an account. Posting abuse, point gaming, malicious behavior, and posting spam etc gets them removed faster. All violations are posted by computers, and it is when an appeal to the Answers Team is read it is actioned. I believe they will also read certain reports when certain types of abuse are recognised, and it can be helped by us to draw the attention to the Answers Team if we post the URL of the abuser to the Answers team and in the report box briefly state our reason, eg spam, obscene name or avatar etc. Answers Team Note the spelling or just copy and paste to an email. y_answrs_team_au@yahoo.com.au
Answer 5 :
Suspension pretty much means you are finished with that YA account although you can continue to use the email address. You can appeal but that is rarely successful, You might be best to forget it and start over again with a new account.Yahoo doesn't seem to play favourites, it doesn't matter if you have been a member for day, a week,a month or years or are a top contributor or at the seventh level, the same rules apply to everyone. It also doesn't seem to matter the number of violations but more the severity or perceived severity of the violations. Yahoo takes a dim view of SPAM, bigotry, pornography , being underage 13, insulting other members, racism, anything that even borders on illegal such as drugs even soft drugs, downloading movies, music programs etc. or links to that kind of stuff Any of that can mean a speedy exit. it is also a serious violation to have more than one YA account. It is considered to be cheating and If you do you could be suspended http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers/abuse/abuse-249517.html;_ylt=Ag1MyvoNQNX_1ok8kgYC2rBujSN4 To appeal: Go below. Just follow the prompts. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers/first_appeal.html;_ylt=AqSixcLqgNB6qjbOqvw87AVs5SN4?from_url=http%3A%2F%2Fuk.answers.yahoo.com%2Fquestion%2Findex%3Fqid%3D20090927213232AAg7HxB Your old points are history.Yahoo just doesn't give specific reasons for account suspension. You can read the guidelines and terms of service below, they tend to be very ambiguous, appeals are often a waste of time and points. Some suggestions, If you haven't done so, edit you info so your questions and answers are hidden that way it makes it harder for trolls who enjoy reporting violations or presumed violations to stalk you. Also, avoid pages with controversial subjects such as religion, homosexuality, racism, pornography, any hatred, downloading movies or music, drugs even soft drugs, etc. Don't give smart, flip or sarcastic answers nor use any profanity and if you believe you are being stalked go to other categories. You might also consider changing your avatar and I.d. http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/info/community_guidelines http://info.yahoo.com/legal/ca/yahoo/utos/utos-ca01.html

How much does it cost to transfer ₤75,000 to a Mexican bank account?

How much does it cost to transfer ₤75,000 to a Mexican bank account?
Hi there, I would be interesting to buy a property in Mexico. Nevertheless, my savings are in British pounds, and I would like to transfer this savings to a Mexican bank account. I don't know how much the operations cost, since British pounds will be converted into Mexican peso? Do you know what could be the bank commission? Do we pay taxes when transfering money abroad? Thanks for your help! ok, 99-year land lease instead of buying.
Personal Finance - 6 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Non Mexican citizens can NOT buy property in Mexico
Answer 2 :
Transfere it in sterling !, International money mover or something like that costs about twenty five quid. They will exchange it when it arrives in your mexican bank accout at onshore mexican rates. Check a mexican bank for there rates But be very careful about buying anything abroad . check the land title deeds are real . There are loads of scams with fake title deeds and you will lose your money.
Answer 3 :
about 40 quid
Answer 4 :
There are companies dealing with these transactions to name only one or two Money corps, Currency4less etc... Any property exhibition has a stand with a co like that it's worth looking into. Search about money transactions abroad on any search engine is also an idea As far as I know there is as little as £10 to pay! and no tax to pay, you have probably already paid taxes on this amount or on the interests. These questions you will have to ask the company of yr choice and they will also tell you that you will have to open an acompte in that country but ask about if you are legal to do so in that country... hope this helps Regards E
Answer 5 :
I strongly suggest you speak to a professional adviser, transferring monies to certain American countries is a nightmare. You also can't buy property without the correct visa & permit from the Mexican Home Office, you must get an advance permitt authority. Be careful, there are a ton off conmen who will tell you other tales. Call the embassy in london, they will advise free of charge.
Answer 6 :
Sounds too much money, try sending an e-mail with your questions to this mexican banks (avoid the one called bbva or bancomer): www.hsbc.com.mx (citybank)www.banamex.com.mx http://www.scotiabank.com.mx/default.htm http://santander.mapasactivos.com/ I think you should have opened an account here to do that kind of transfer (maybe hsbc). By the way 1 pound costs here 18 pesos.

I have bank accounts already which my parents know about but I have money at home which I would like to put in my own account, away from my parents if possible. Just so I know if anything happens, I do have my own money. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Answer 1 :
Well, you can only open a bank account that invovles having a debit card when your over 13 *with* parental consent, but you can open an account that alows you to just deposit and withdraw funds at 11 years old and you dont need your parents consent, but you do if you want to withdraw/deposit over £50 in one transaction.

How Can I Locate Old Email Account Now I have Switched Broadband Supplier?

How Can I Locate Old Email Account Now I have Switched Broadband Supplier?
I have recently gone from a freeserve broadband account with a freeserve e-mail address to a sky account, however I can't seem to be able to get access to my old e-mail account at all, does anyone have a clue how I might be able to do this? Surely the mail account didn't go with the broadband provider? Thanks!
Other - Computers - 2 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
You didn't mention if you were using Outlook Express for your email. It only works on the domain the email is on. If the email was with a broadband server then it goes with the provider. But you might be able to access it unless they deleted it. They usually keep it up at least a month after you cancel. Most sites have a web based email system. Go to their website, example www.freemail.com, (or whatever site you had) and look for an email button. Click it and enter your email and password. You should be able to get on it. Many site even offer email forwarding.
Answer 2 :
Most ISPs offer email accounts when you take their broadband and most will remove the email account when you change ISP. BT is an exception to this. I have UK Online as my ISP but I don't use the offered email accounts as I know they will stop as soon as I move provider. So I pay a small annual fee to have my own email address that is accessible from any ISP that I move to. (And a Yahoo account that is for junk, when something needs an email address but I don't want them to clutter up my proper account.) Arthur is right in that, if your email account is still active with freeserve then you can access it from their home page.

How can I permanently delete my account on Facebook?

How can I permanently delete my account on Facebook?
I've tried on Settings but I managed to suspend it permanently and it said it'll be re-activated any time I log in. I want to delete my account for ever though.
Facebook - 4 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
I managed to do it once and it said it will be permantly deleted if you dont log in in 14 days after you deactivate but i tried since again with a different account and i cant find how to do it. I think you should just delete everything on there...all pictures, groups, friends and then de-activate it
Answer 2 :
Go to account.and at the bottom it should say deactive my account
Answer 3 :
There has been a lot of anger over Facebook's decision to not enable its users to delete their accounts as it has prevented people from getting jobs due to photos of themselves at uni etc. Sadly, you cannot delete your account but just do what you have found - to go to the settings tab and deactivate your account. Your profile won't be visible to people once you have deactivated it. Hope that helps in some way
Answer 4 :
You can't delete it i'm afraid. You can deactivate so that no one can view it, search for you etc but it's never permanently deleted. Once you sign up to facebook (in the terms and conditions) it states that all and any information you give to facebook becomes there property. So basically every time you add a photo or comment on something it then belongs to facebook and they can legally use it however they choose to. You are basically giving them permission to keep everything you do on facebook for as long as they like, including photos, email addresses, phone number etc.

How can you get a bank to stop making illegal charges to your account?

How can you get a bank to stop making illegal charges to your account?
Despite being illegal my bank still insist on levvying extortionate charges on my account. How can this be allowed to continue, can I do anything to stop this apart from the obvious , ie dont go overdrawn etc.
Law & Ethics - 9 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
go to a new bank...take your business elsewhere.
Answer 2 :
Speak to the bank manager - or Close the account.
Answer 3 :
Can you describe in more detail the illegal charges being levied? And if the charges are due to you being overdrawn on a consistent basis, and you're going to change banks, you'd better do it before they close you out. If they do that, there's a good chance they'll report you to an agency called Chexsystems that will make it near impossible to open an account anywhere else.
Answer 4 :
Stop depositing money in there and change banks.
Answer 5 :
Yeah you can stop it permanently. Change banks.
Answer 6 :
You can find a load of websites that will help you claim your bank charges back over the last 6 years. Also take your business elsewhere. Consumer power works, let your feet do the talking!
Answer 7 :
No bank charges are illegal.Immoral maybe but not illegal. A bank can charge you what it likes, but it has to consider if the scale of charges is commercially competitive or people will take their business elsewhere. You say you aren't overdrawn so what are they charging you for?Have you transgressed the rules in some other way?The obvious way to deal with this is to close your account and take your business elsewhere.
Answer 8 :
certainly you can change banks. but you can be sure that the new bank will charge you when you overdraw your account. and if you overdraw it multiple times, the charges will go up. but you already know that.
Answer 9 :
No point moving to another Bank, they all do it. You have to write numerous letters of complaint to them before they properly look into. I have heard that if they have charged you under £1000 within the last 6 years, they are more likely to refund you. I have written a few letters and eventually received £70 refund, which obviously wasnt good enough. So we wrote back & persisted. Reason being, its not the money, but we had received such cr*p service from them that i feel they owe us for all the stress they've caused us. W*nkers!!!!

Well, you have to specifically cancel your e-harmony account - although you are locked in for the "full" month, you should not be billed afterwards. After that, if you want , you can contact them. Beyond that, they keep all your information, and if you sign in again, you get e-harrassed to join again.

How do I go about getting a shared bank account?

How do I go about getting a shared bank account?
Me and my boyfriend are moving in together and want a joint account to pay the bills with, I go with hsbc and he goes with barcleys so do we both need to already own an account with the same bank or can we just pick either one?
Personal Finance - 8 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Go into any bank you like and ask to open a joint account. Simple
Answer 2 :
You can just pick either one, one of you might need to take in ID if its not your bank but theres not usually any problems
Answer 3 :
get u r passports (both of you) and 2 utility bills - proof of address best bet to go to another bank you dont currently use> you both need to go in together and explain the situation.. then you fillout the forms - credit checks etc- they will ask what account > joint account cheque books etc etc - shouldnt take long...
Answer 4 :
Open a joint account with any bank although keeping to HSBC or Barclays might prove a tad simpler. BUT, do maintain your own independent accounts until the relationship is proven and you can trust each other beyond doubt. Just common sense really ..........
Answer 5 :
Just pick any one you like and ask to open a joint account. explain it is to pay bills from.
Answer 6 :
Yes it is very simple to get a joint account! But........ Why would you want to?? Hopefully you REALLY know this person?? Past credit, debt, spending responsibility, after all this is your credit & your money and you don't want either to go down the drain!
Answer 7 :
If you have had good experiences wtih your bank account I would say stay with yours or if your boyfreind has had a better time ask to be added to his. By staying with the bank you are in you can get better rates than starting a new account. You will be eligible for a lot more by sticking with either account.
Answer 8 :
You'll get the idea, you can go to any bank, though either yours or his might be a smidgin simpler as they already know one of you. I gather this is to be separate from your own personal accounts, which you'll be continuing to maintain; good idea, you can both put in your share, as it were, while maintaining the security of your own accounts just in case . . .

Can i open an esaver santander account and keep my barclays current account?
I am really clueless about how banking stuff works so I was just wondering whether i can open a savings account with santander (called an esaver account) and still keep my current account with barclays?
Personal Finance - 3 Answers

Answer 1 :
yes you can
Answer 2 :
You can have as many bank accounts as you wish. It's just that the banks each have their own criteria for accepting you as account holder. There's no law stopping you from having multiple accounts, used lawfully.
Answer 3 :
Yes. You would only come into difficulty if you were applying for another bank that was part of the same banking institution, for example if you had an alliance & Leicester account and were looking to open up with Santander (as they both fall under the same financial umbrella)

Laptops & Notebooks - 4 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
turn on UAC in control panel > user accounts > tick UAC for admin rights
Answer 2 :
go to control panel from the start menu. then from there, click on users and create an account. that option should give you the choice to make the account and administrator account.
Answer 3 :
go "Control Panel" an click "Account" then Create a administrator Account
Answer 4 :
You don't need to set up an Administrator Account. You are already the Administrator. You only need that one account. If your the only one using it you don't need any more accounts, user or otherwise. Start sticking in unnecessary accounts all over the place and you will start running into permission and access problems to files etc.

How long does it take to transfer money from one bank account to another using online banking?

How long does it take to transfer money from one bank account to another using online banking?
My friend has a bank account with HSBC and needs to transfer some money over to my Natwest bank account. How long would it take to clear? I think they're doing it tomorrow via online banking system, would I get the money by the weekend do you think? I have done bank transfers before between 2 Natwest accounts and the monies showed up more or less straight away. I was just wondering if it were different when it's from one bank to another named bank? Thanks
Personal Finance - 3 Answers

Answer 1 :
like 3 days( Business)
Answer 2 :
My experience when doing external transfers from one bank to another bank online is that it took about 3 business days for everything to clear. I would hope it would be faster than that when you are dealing with an online only bank such as HSBC, but its hard to say
Answer 3 :
Tell him to ask HSBC to send it as a FASTER PAYMENT and it will credit your NatWest account the same day... http://www.natwest.com/microsites/personal/faster_payments_service/faster_payments_faq.asp

Bank of Scotland have been upgrading their system over the last weekend. Now, because of their 'new and improved' system, I cannot access my personal bank account. I have 2 business accounts with them and can log in to them, but not my personal current account. I have phoned their Internet Helpline at least 6 times and get told something different each time - they have no idea what is happening. Has anyone got the same problem?
Other - Internet - 2 Answers

No. It will not be a problem with their system I am sure of it, what message are you getting that tells you that you cannot access it?
Answer 2 :
"I have phoned their Internet Helpline at least 6 times and get told something different each time - they have no idea what is happening! That says a lot! The ball is definitely in their court on that one. Sorry to say you will have to just keep badgering them about it or go into the local branch and kick up a stink. You would have thought with all the money poured into them by the Tax Payers you would have thought they would at least get something right. Oh no I forgot! Paying obscene bonuses is more important and therefore you have my deepest sympathies!

What's the best bank account and credit card/debt card for a person aged under 18?

What's the best bank account and credit card/debt card for a person aged under 18?
I'm looking for a good bank company in the UK as I'm a full time student and I need a credit card or debt card. I have looked around but none accept me as they say I need to over 18. I also have noticed you need to apply to a bank account before you get a credit card? Barclay's is what my family uses.
Credit - 5 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
I would go for RBS and they offer a root 21 card for anyone under 21 which has worked perfectly for me
Answer 2 :
is there a Chase Bank there...they have some awesome checking and savings stuff for kids/pre adults...excellent customer service and people available to help you in many ways with finances.....
Answer 3 :
You cannot have a credit card until your 18 and over, so of course they won't give you one! You can however have a bank account with debit card from age 11+ with some banks. Anyone can also have a bank account and cash card! Natwest do an adapt account for under 18's and you can have a debit card with that. student accounts are only given to those 18 and over, because they will be in uni or other education. You may be 16-18 and in full time education but you cannot have a student bank account with credit card because your still under 18. Student bank accounts also typically come with an overdraft and maybe even a cheque book which You cannot have because your under 18. I had a natwest bank account from 12, with debit card, and used it when I went to work full time at 16 BUT I was NOT able to get a cheque book, overdraft or credit card until I was 18! No point applying to credit card companies or even ANY bank for a crediot card, you won't get one! Apply for an under 18 account, and when you turn 18 (even if that is only 2 months away) THEN you can go into the bank and ask to upgrade! Since your family is with barclays I'd suggest you go into a branch and ASK them what they can give to under 18's! Best bet is to always talk to somone face to face. Good Luck!
Answer 4 :
no, it is not necessary to have a bank account to apply for a credit card. you need your parents to refer you to the bank for credit card. http://www.creditrepairinfo.com
Answer 5 :
you can't have a card on your own if you are not of legal age..under 18 is a minor.

How can you move emails from one hotmail account to another?

How can you move emails from one hotmail account to another?
Hi, I recently created a new hotmail account and I would like to know how to move my emails from my old account to my new one. Is it possible? Thanks.
Other - Internet - 5 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Just forward them to the new email address!
Answer 2 :
Just simply go onto your old hotmail account and open up the emails you want to send to your new hotmail. (As if youve just been sent a new email and going to read it) Then add your NEW hotmail adress as if you were sending an email to someone else. Voila! Hope thats explain well.
Answer 3 :
Send them to your new hotmail.Say for example your old htomail is helloimbob@hotmail.com and you want to send the emails you got to your new hotmail. All you have to do is click on the email and send to your new hotmail... ex. To: newhotmail@hotmail.com From: helloimob@hotmail.com Hope I helped! Oh, if you want to do an easier way, do forward activating (something like that) and all the emails you got on your old hotmail, will be send to your new hotmail automatically! You can delete them on your old hotmail or keep a copy!
Answer 4 :
Just send them to your new email address just like you do sending to your friends..
Answer 5 :
You may be able to forward your email in your inbox in your old account to your new one but it's a bit of a laborious task but can be done if you have important emails in there. But if you have a lot of things signed up to send email to your old account such as eBay, Bebo and MySpace accounts and you don't really want to go through every one changing the email it sends mail to, you can set your old email account to automatically forward any email you have sent to your old account to your new one. Bear in mind, this only works with Hotmail, MSN and Windows Live accounts. I'm not sure how you do it but I have it set up on mine. I think you log into your old account, go to your inbox and in the top right corner is and "Options" tab, it's in there somewhere, if you can't find it just Google, "Automatically forwarding Hotmail emails" or something. Good luck, Jamie.

How comes people who are really good at Maths never go on to be Doctors or Surgeons and earn real good money?

How comes people who are really good at Maths never go on to be Doctors or Surgeons and earn real good money?
I mean these are the jobs that involve Chemistry, Biology and really tough Science background, and most Science is Mathematical, so you would think that these people could breeze through Med School. So how comes they don't always do this type of work? Instead they go on to study for careers in Accounting, teaching Maths etc.
Higher Education (University +) - 3 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Not everyone wants to be a doctor. Many people who study science and math are certainly capable of becoming doctors, but aren't interested in it despite the salaries.
Answer 2 :
Despite the claims that medicine likes to make for itself, physicians and surgeons are not scientists. They are surrounded by scientific disciplines like biophysics and biochemistry, but that's not what it takes to be a doctor. Once you get past GCSE, Maths is no longer about doing sums, but becomes a strict approach to solving scientific problems. Being able to do that would be a positive disadvantage at medical school where students are taught that their subject is science and alternative therapies are witchcraft. A mathematician might ask for evidence.
Answer 3 :
Because they don't want to be doctors. To go after a career that involves as much training as medicine, natural talent isn't enough. You need to be VERY passionate. Otherwise, you won't make it.

When I sold my business I was advised to keep the business bank account open for a few months. You need to advise the VAT people so they can send you a final return. You write to HMRC with details of your business telling them that you have ceased trading. You need to keep your accounts and paperwork for 7 years as you can be invesigated at any time.

Can you think of any software provider that offer deals for start-ups?

Can you think of any software provider that offer deals for start-ups?
Is there deals out there for new business to get software for cheaper due to the size of the firm. For example, offering a business package containing accounting tools for a lot less if the company; is < 6years old, has < 150 employees, valid address etc? As they grow the need for the software will grow thus benefiting both entities.
Other - Business & Finance - 1 Answers
People Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
These days, almost all software packages, including all Microsoft (MS Office, MS Server etc.), charge for Business use on a 'per user' (in Microsoft speak, this is known as a 'Client License') per year basis ... ... and whilst you might HOPE they would charge less 'per user' for smaller user counts, the fact is, they almost ALL give 'discounts' for higher user counts (thus, for example, buying 10 lots of 10 client licenses will be a lot more expensive than buying a single 100 client license - and 10 x 100 a lot more expensive than 1 x 1000) [when you think about it, this makes a lot of sense to the supplier .. for sure if 10 x10 was cheaper than 1 x 100 you can be sure they would never sell a single 100 user license :-) ] The 'larger' packages (such as SAP, Oracle etc), the 'installation' costs dwarf the (annual) 'per user' cost .. plainly you don't install SAP etc. until your business can afford the install cost ..
