How Can I Locate Old Email Account Now I have Switched Broadband Supplier?

How Can I Locate Old Email Account Now I have Switched Broadband Supplier?
I have recently gone from a freeserve broadband account with a freeserve e-mail address to a sky account, however I can't seem to be able to get access to my old e-mail account at all, does anyone have a clue how I might be able to do this? Surely the mail account didn't go with the broadband provider? Thanks!

Answer 1 :
You didn't mention if you were using Outlook Express for your email. It only works on the domain the email is on. If the email was with a broadband server then it goes with the provider. But you might be able to access it unless they deleted it. They usually keep it up at least a month after you cancel. Most sites have a web based email system. Go to their website, example www.freemail.com, (or whatever site you had) and look for an email button. Click it and enter your email and password. You should be able to get on it. Many site even offer email forwarding.
Answer 2 :
Most ISPs offer email accounts when you take their broadband and most will remove the email account when you change ISP. BT is an exception to this. I have UK Online as my ISP but I don't use the offered email accounts as I know they will stop as soon as I move provider. So I pay a small annual fee to have my own email address that is accessible from any ISP that I move to. (And a Yahoo account that is for junk, when something needs an email address but I don't want them to clutter up my proper account.) Arthur is right in that, if your email account is still active with freeserve then you can access it from their home page.

How can I permanently delete my account on Facebook?

How can I permanently delete my account on Facebook?
I've tried on Settings but I managed to suspend it permanently and it said it'll be re-activated any time I log in. I want to delete my account for ever though.

I managed to do it once and it said it will be permantly deleted if you dont log in in 14 days after you deactivate but i tried since again with a different account and i cant find how to do it. I think you should just delete everything on there...all pictures, groups, friends and then de-activate it
Answer 2 :
Go to account.and at the bottom it should say deactive my account
Answer 3 :
There has been a lot of anger over Facebook's decision to not enable its users to delete their accounts as it has prevented people from getting jobs due to photos of themselves at uni etc. Sadly, you cannot delete your account but just do what you have found - to go to the settings tab and deactivate your account. Your profile won't be visible to people once you have deactivated it. Hope that helps in some way
Answer 4 :
You can't delete it i'm afraid. You can deactivate so that no one can view it, search for you etc but it's never permanently deleted. Once you sign up to facebook (in the terms and conditions) it states that all and any information you give to facebook becomes there property. So basically every time you add a photo or comment on something it then belongs to facebook and they can legally use it however they choose to. You are basically giving them permission to keep everything you do on facebook for as long as they like, including photos, email addresses, phone number etc.

How can you get a bank to stop making illegal charges to your account?

How can you get a bank to stop making illegal charges to your account?
Despite being illegal my bank still insist on levvying extortionate charges on my account. How can this be allowed to continue, can I do anything to stop this apart from the obvious , ie dont go overdrawn etc.

Answer 1 :
go to a new bank...take your business elsewhere.
Answer 2 :
Speak to the bank manager - or Close the account.
Answer 3 :
Can you describe in more detail the illegal charges being levied? And if the charges are due to you being overdrawn on a consistent basis, and you're going to change banks, you'd better do it before they close you out. If they do that, there's a good chance they'll report you to an agency called Chexsystems that will make it near impossible to open an account anywhere else.
Answer 4 :
Stop depositing money in there and change banks.
Answer 5 :
Yeah you can stop it permanently. Change banks.
Answer 6 :
You can find a load of websites that will help you claim your bank charges back over the last 6 years. Also take your business elsewhere. Consumer power works, let your feet do the talking!
Answer 7 :
No bank charges are illegal.Immoral maybe but not illegal. A bank can charge you what it likes, but it has to consider if the scale of charges is commercially competitive or people will take their business elsewhere. You say you aren't overdrawn so what are they charging you for?Have you transgressed the rules in some other way?The obvious way to deal with this is to close your account and take your business elsewhere.
Answer 8 :
certainly you can change banks. but you can be sure that the new bank will charge you when you overdraw your account. and if you overdraw it multiple times, the charges will go up. but you already know that.
Answer 9 :
No point moving to another Bank, they all do it. You have to write numerous letters of complaint to them before they properly look into. I have heard that if they have charged you under £1000 within the last 6 years, they are more likely to refund you. I have written a few letters and eventually received £70 refund, which obviously wasnt good enough. So we wrote back & persisted. Reason being, its not the money, but we had received such cr*p service from them that i feel they owe us for all the stress they've caused us. W*nkers!!!!

How do you cancel your eharmony account?

How do you cancel your eharmony account?
I thought I only signed up for a three month contract and now I can't contact people anyway, but eharmony are taking money out of my account. How do i cancel the contract?

Answer 1 :
Well, you have to specifically cancel your e-harmony account - although you are locked in for the "full" month, you should not be billed afterwards. After that, if you want , you can contact them. Beyond that, they keep all your information, and if you sign in again, you get e-harrassed to join again.
