How can I get chartered accountant certificated?
I have degree in accouting and have 11 yrs experinced in accounting field so far in my country (non EEA). I would like to get a job in this filed in the UK, but they also needed chartered accountant certificated. I live in London, where can I take the course.

Try the ACCA website for information. Some colleges do the ACCA exams but specialist professional tutors get very good results try BPP, Financial Training or Emile Woolf. Good luck.

What is the best course of study if I want to become a self employed accountant to small businesses?
I have worked in IT until now implementing and training accounting packages, and although I studied bookkeeping a few years ago in Johannesburg to help with the IT projects, I am not trained as an accountant. I am currently working as a bookkeeper but know I can do more so would like to become an accountant and offer these services to local small to medium businesses. It has been suggested that I take the AAT courses but am concerned this would not be sufficient to become self employed in this field. Any advice in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) The most distinguished certificate an accountant can earn is a certified public accountant (CPA) certificate. In Georgia, a CPA certificate can only be earned after the completion of bachelor's in accounting. Additionally, to sit for the CPA examination, you will need to have completed 150 semester hours or 225 quarter hours of designated accounting study. chartered accountants are more qualified, its the same in engineering, after you finish your uni course you need to do several years in the field then prove to the govening body you have the skills and experience. then you can become chartered.

I am a Chartered Accountant. What kind of services can I offer to Individuals and Corporate Investors?
As a Chartered Accountant what kind of Financial Services can I offer other than Accounting functions? How do I go about setting this company up? What kind of materials do I need? Any training through the internet? I would appreciate receiving suggestions from experienced practitioners with local and global connections.I am working in Nigeria and would be quite ready to pay for any suggestions should the need arise. I am currently working in a stock broking outfit.
