How would you become an accountant in Ireland? What are the main differences from US accounting?

you have to do it all backwards

They have their own GAAPs and being in Europian Union, they also follow IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). I suggest you target a US based company in Ireland. This would save you from a lot of hassle. I'm also a Chartered Accountant from Pakistan and looking for a job in Ireland. Lets get in touch.
